Pengaruh Internalisasi Pendidikan Islam dan Kesalehan Simbolik terhadap Stigmatisasi Moral di Ruang Sosial Café

This study examines the relationship between Islamic education internalization, symbolic piety, and moral stigmatization in café social spaces. Using a quantitative survey design, data were collected through Likert-scale questionnaires from 30 respondents aged 18–35 and analyzed using linear regression. The results indicate that Islamic education internalization was not significantly associated with moral stigmatization (B = 0.217, t = 0.878, p = 0.387). In contrast, symbolic piety showed a significant positive association with moral stigmatization (B = 0.328, t = 3.34, p = 0.002). When both variables were included in the same regression model, symbolic piety remained significant (B = 0.383, t = 3.296, p = 0.003), whereas Islamic education internalization remained nonsignificant (B = −0.226, t = −0.897, p = 0.378). Drawing on Pierre Bourdieu’s concepts of habitus, symbolic capital, and symbolic power, these findings suggest that symbolic expressions of religiosity are more strongly associated with moral stigmatization than Islamic education internalization in the studied sample. The study highlights how religious symbols may function as markers of moral legitimacy in café social spaces. However, the small sample size limits the generalizability of the findings.
