Penanaman Karakter Agama Pada Anak Usia Dini Dengan Pendekatan Psikologi Dakwah Di Desa Hutarimbaru

Abstract

The cultivation of religious character in early childhood is an important part of shaping children's personalities so that they develop habits and behaviors that are in accordance with Islamic values. Early childhood is a developmental stage that requires examples, habituation, attention, and communication that are appropriate to children's psychological conditions. This study aims to examine the process of cultivating religious character in early childhood through a da'wah psychology approach in the community of Hutarimbaru Village. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach. Data were obtained through observation, interviews, and documentation involving parents and community members who interact with young children. The results show that religious character is cultivated through habituation to worship, teaching good manners, providing role models, encouraging children to recite prayers and read the Qur'an, and giving advice using language that is easy for children to understand. The da'wah psychology approach helps parents and community members understand that conveying religious values to children is not sufficient through commands alone, but must be adjusted to their psychological development. The family and community environment play an important role because children learn largely from what they see and from the behavior of people around them. Therefore, the cultivation of religious character from an early age needs to be carried out gradually, gently, consistently, and through positive role modeling.
