Post-Publication Discussion
Amorti: Jurnal Studi Islam Interdisipliner recognizes that scholarly communication is an ongoing process that extends beyond the publication of research. The journal encourages constructive, evidence-based, and respectful academic discussion of published articles to promote critical inquiry, clarify research findings, and contribute to the advancement of knowledge in Islamic studies and related interdisciplinary fields. In managing post-publication discussions, the journal takes into consideration the relevant principles and recommendations of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) and the World Association of Medical Editors (WAME), with particular attention to the accuracy, transparency, and integrity of the scholarly record.
Readers, researchers, and authors may submit letters to the editor, scholarly comments, or brief critical responses concerning articles previously published in the journal. Such submissions should be concise, academically sound, supported by relevant evidence, and directly related to the article being discussed. All submissions are subject to editorial assessment to determine their relevance, scholarly contribution, accuracy, and adherence to standards of academic integrity and respectful communication. Where online commenting facilities are available, the journal may moderate comments to ensure that discussions remain constructive, relevant, and appropriate for an academic environment.
Authors of the original articles will ordinarily be given an opportunity to respond to substantive comments, questions, or criticisms concerning their published work. Where appropriate and accepted by the editors, comments and corresponding author responses may be published and linked to the original article to facilitate transparent scholarly exchange and allow readers to consider different academic perspectives.
Any post-publication discussion that raises credible concerns regarding factual errors, methodological weaknesses, ethical violations, or the reliability of published findings will be evaluated in accordance with the journal's applicable editorial policies, including its Corrections and Retractions Policy. Depending on the nature and significance of the concerns, the journal may request clarification, publish a correction, issue an expression of concern, or retract the article when warranted. All actions will be undertaken fairly and transparently to preserve the credibility of published research and uphold the integrity of scholarly communication.
