The low numeracy achievement of students at Kotaraja Public Elementary School, as reflected in their report cards, motivated the school to implement the Gasing Program (Easy, Fun, Enjoyable) starting in 2023. This study aims to describe the implementation of the Gasing Program in grade 1 and the increase in students' learning motivation through the program. The research used a descriptive qualitative approach with non-participatory observation techniques conducted twice, semi-structured interviews, and documentation. Informants included the principal, two implementing teachers, and two grade 1 students. Data analysis used the Miles and Huberman model with triangulation of techniques and sources. The results showed that the implementation of the Gasing Program was carried out through three stages: planning through teacher meetings and lesson plan preparation, implementation by integrating the Easy, Fun, and Enjoyable principles in an integrated way, and formative evaluation by the teachers and principal. The Gasing Program has been proven to boost learning motivation in 1st-grade students, marked by an increase in enthusiasm scores from 2 to 3, active participation scores from 3 to 4, as well as the emergence of authentic collective positive emotions based on structured observation sheets rated on a 1–4 scale. This improvement happens through the fulfillment of three basic psychological needs in Deci and Ryan's Self-Determination Theory: competence through the "Easy" principle, autonomy through the "Fun" principle, and relatedness through the "Enjoyable" principle.
