Authorship Criteria
The International Journal of Post Axial: Futuristic Teaching and Learning is committed to ensuring that authorship accurately reflects the intellectual contributions and responsibilities of individuals involved in scholarly research and manuscript preparation. The journal upholds the principles of academic integrity, transparency, accountability, and responsible scholarly publishing.
1. Criteria for Authorship
Authorship is reserved for individuals who have made substantial intellectual contributions to the research and manuscript. To qualify as an author, each individual must meet all of the following criteria:
-
Substantial Intellectual Contribution: Have made a significant contribution to the conception or design of the study, the development of its theoretical framework, the acquisition of data, or the analysis and interpretation of research findings.
-
Manuscript Preparation: Have participated in drafting the manuscript or critically revising it for important intellectual content.
-
Final Approval: Have reviewed and approved the final version of the manuscript submitted to the journal.
-
Accountability: Agree to take responsibility for their contributions and cooperate in addressing questions concerning the accuracy, integrity, or ethical conduct of the research.
All individuals listed as authors must satisfy these criteria. Authorship must reflect genuine intellectual contributions rather than institutional position, academic seniority, professional relationships, or financial support alone.
2. Contributions That Do Not Qualify for Authorship
Contributions that do not independently justify authorship include routine administrative assistance, technical support, proofreading, language editing, general supervision, funding acquisition alone, and other activities that do not involve substantial intellectual contributions to the research.
Individuals who have provided such assistance may be acknowledged in the Acknowledgments section, with their permission. Honorary, guest, and gift authorship are not permitted.
3. Author Order and Corresponding Author
The order of authors must be agreed upon by all authors based on their respective contributions to the research and manuscript. Authors are encouraged to determine the order of authorship before submitting the manuscript.
The corresponding author serves as the primary contact between the authors and the editorial office throughout the submission, peer-review, revision, and publication processes.
The corresponding author is responsible for confirming that all listed authors meet the journal's authorship criteria, have approved the final manuscript, and have agreed to its submission.
4. Author Contributions
To promote transparency in scholarly publishing, authors are encouraged to provide a clear statement describing the contributions of each author. Where applicable, the journal encourages the use of the Contributor Roles Taxonomy (CRediT) to identify individual contributions, including conceptualization, methodology, investigation, data curation, formal analysis, writing, supervision, and project administration.
All contribution statements must accurately reflect the work performed by each author. The journal may request clarification when the stated contributions are unclear or inconsistent.
5. Changes in Authorship
Requests to add, remove, or rearrange authors after manuscript submission are discouraged and will be considered only under exceptional circumstances.
Any request for a change in authorship must include a written explanation and the written consent of all affected authors, including any author being added or removed, where applicable. The request is subject to approval by the editorial office.
Changes in authorship after acceptance or publication will be handled in accordance with the journal's editorial policies and applicable publication ethics standards. Where necessary, a formal correction may be issued.
6. Use of Artificial Intelligence in Authorship
Artificial intelligence (AI) tools cannot be listed as authors because they cannot assume responsibility for the accuracy, originality, and integrity of scholarly work.
Authors remain fully responsible for all content submitted to the journal, including content generated, edited, or otherwise assisted by AI tools. The use of AI tools for substantive content generation, research analysis, or interpretation must be disclosed where relevant, in accordance with the journal's applicable policies.
AI tools must not be used to fabricate research data, generate false references, misrepresent scholarly sources, or conceal the actual contributions of authors. Any AI-related disclosure must accurately describe the tools used and the nature of their contribution.
7. Authorship Disputes
All authors are expected to resolve disagreements concerning authorship and author order through transparent communication before submission whenever possible.
If an authorship dispute arises during editorial evaluation or after publication, the journal may request written explanations and supporting documentation from the individuals concerned. Where appropriate, the journal may seek guidance from the relevant institution or research organization.
The journal may suspend editorial processing or publication while a significant authorship dispute is being investigated. Any decision will be guided by the available evidence, the journal's publication ethics policy, and recognized standards of scholarly publishing.
8. Ethical Responsibility
By submitting a manuscript to the International Journal of Post Axial: Futuristic Teaching and Learning, the authors confirm that the listed authorship accurately reflects their contributions and that all authors have approved the final manuscript and agreed to its submission.
All authors are expected to uphold the principles of honesty, transparency, originality, and accountability throughout the research and publication process.
The journal reserves the right to request additional information regarding authorship and to take appropriate action when violations of authorship or publication ethics are identified.
