Implementation of Cybercounseling as a Form of Digital Transformation in Guidance and Counseling Services at MTs Al-Hamidiyah Depok

Digital transformation in education has influenced various school services, including Guidance and Counseling services. The use of technology in Guidance and Counseling services is not limited to a communication medium but has also become an approach to developing more flexible, accessible, and adaptive services according to students’ needs. This study aims to analyze the implementation of cybercounseling as a form of digital transformation in Guidance and Counseling services at MTs Al-Hamidiyah Depok, focusing on technology utilization, changes in service processes, the readiness of Guidance and Counseling teachers, and institutional support. This study employed a qualitative approach using a case study method. Data were collected through semi-structured interviews and documentation involving Guidance and Counseling teachers and the head of the madrasah. Data analysis was conducted using the interactive model of Miles, Huberman, and Saldaña, consisting of data condensation, data display, and conclusion drawing and verification. The findings show that cybercounseling at MTs Al-Hamidiyah Depok is implemented through the What’s Up application as a digital communication platform between students and Guidance and Counseling teachers. The service provides more flexible access to counseling support and contributes to changes in communication patterns and service mechanisms. The implementation is supported by teachers’ ability to manage counseling processes, maintain professional ethics, and adapt to technology. Institutional support through policies, facilities, and digital culture development also plays an important role in sustaining the service. This study concludes that cybercounseling represents a digital transformation involving technology, human resources, and institutional commitment.
