Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of discipline, work motivation, and organizational culture on lecturer performance, with leadership serving as a mediating variable, at the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Universitas Pamulang. The study employs a quantitative approach with an explanatory design. The population consists of 167 lecturers, with a sample of 118 respondents determined using Slovin's formula (at a 5% margin of error) and purposive random sampling. Data were collected through observation, documentation, interviews, and questionnaires. Data analysis was conducted using Structural Equation Modeling-Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS) via SmartPLS, utilizing the bootstrapping method. The results indicate that discipline has a positive and significant effect on lecturer performance (p-value 0.035; t-statistic 1.996). Work motivation also has a positive and significant effect on lecturer performance (p-value 0.016; t-statistic 2.869). Conversely, organizational culture does not have a significant effect on lecturer performance (p-value 0.816; t-statistic 0.512). Leadership has a positive and significant effect on lecturer performance (p-value 0.008; t-statistic 2.911). The mediating role of leadership was assessed through specific indirect effects to determine the indirect influence of discipline, work motivation, and organizational culture on lecturer performance. The study demonstrates that enhancing lecturer performance can be supported by strengthening discipline and work motivation, as well as through effective leadership practices.
