About the Journal

International Journal of Archetype: Pesantren and SDG’s Review is an international, peer-reviewed academic journal dedicated to advancing interdisciplinary research on Islamic boarding schools (pesantren), archetypal studies, and their alignment with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Published by Yayasan Azhar Amanaa Yogyakarta, the journal provides a scholarly platform for global researchers to explore how traditional educational institutions, especially pesantren, contribute to sustainable development, social transformation, cultural preservation, and ethical leadership. The journal welcomes high-quality submissions including empirical research, conceptual papers, fieldwork reports, literature reviews, comparative studies, and policy analyses focusing on pesantren and their role in achieving SDGs such as quality education, gender equality, poverty reduction, environmental sustainability, decent work, peacebuilding, and global partnership. It also encourages studies on archetypal frameworks, cultural symbolism, community resilience, and the spiritual ecology of pesantren in relation to sustainable development. Committed to academic excellence and global engagement, International Journal of Archetype: Pesantren and SDG’s Review upholds a rigorous peer-review process, ethical publishing practices, and an inclusive editorial approach. The journal invites contributions from multidisciplinary perspectives—religious studies, education, anthropology, sustainability science, sociology, and community development—to enrich scholarly discourse and foster impactful research.
