Predicting Cognitive Resilience through Digital Dependency in Islamic Religious Education: Insights from an Integrated Islamic Elementary School

Maraknya penggunaan perangkat digital di kalangan anak-anak sekolah dasar di Indonesia menimbulkan kekhawatiran yang semakin besar terhadap Pendidikan Agama Islam (Pendidikan Agama Islam), mata pelajaran yang pada dasarnya menuntut perhatian yang berkelanjutan, ketepatan hafalan, dan refleksi tekstual yang mendalam—kemampuan yang secara kolektif disebut ketahanan kognitif. Meskipun terdapat banyak bukti yang menghubungkan waktu penggunaan layar yang berlebihan dengan gangguan kognitif, belum ada studi empiris yang meneliti apakah ketergantungan digital secara spesifik memprediksi ketahanan kognitif yang lebih rendah di lingkungan sekolah dasar berbasis agama. Studi korelasional kuantitatif ini mensurvei 124 siswa kelas empat dari empat kelas utuh (Kelas A=30, B=30, C=32, D=32) di sebuah sekolah dasar Islam terpadu di Bandar Lampung, Indonesia, menggunakan instrumen yang telah divalidasi untuk ketergantungan digital dan ketahanan kognitif khusus Pendidikan Agama Islam. Analisis korelasi Pearson dan regresi linier sederhana mengungkapkan hubungan negatif yang signifikan (*r* = -0,52, *p* < 0,001), dengan ketergantungan digital menyumbang 27% dari varians ketahanan kognitif ( R² = 0,27, F (1,122) = 45,16, *p* < 0,001). Setiap peningkatan satu unit dalam ketergantungan digital memprediksi penurunan 0,43 unit dalam ketahanan kognitif. Temuan yang kuat ini menegaskan bahwa keterlibatan digital yang habitual secara sistematis mengikis kapasitas kognitif yang penting untuk menguasai konten IRE. Studi ini menganjurkan untuk menanamkan strategi kesehatan digital dalam pedagogi IRE, beralih dari larangan menuju konsumsi yang bijaksana untuk melindungi perkembangan kognitif dan keagamaan siswa.
