However, in practice, IRE learning is still dominated by conventional, teacher-centered approaches, resulting in learning that tends to be theoretical and less contextual. This article aims to describe the design of Problem-Based Learning (PBL)-based Islamic Religious Education instruction, including its fundamental concepts, implementation stages, learning implications, and strategies for strengthening the PBL design in IRE learning. This study employs a qualitative approach with a library research method. Data were collected from various scientific journals, academic books, and previous studies relevant to Islamic Religious Education and Problem-Based Learning. Data analysis was conducted using content analysis techniques through the stages of data reduction, data display, interpretation, and conclusion drawing. The findings of the study indicate that a PBL-based IRE learning design can create active, contextual, and student-centered learning through the resolution of real-life problems related to theology (<em>aqidah</em>), Islamic ethics (<em>akhlaq</em>), jurisprudence (<em>fiqh</em>), and socio-religious life. The implementation of PBL in IRE learning contributes to improving critical thinking skills, social skills, collaboration abilities, as well as strengthening students’ religious character and religious moderation. In addition, strengthening the PBL design can be achieved through teacher training, integration of digital media, flexible learning time management, and reinforcement of values and character orientation in learning objectives and assessment. Thus, Problem-Based Learning can serve as a strategic alternative in creating IRE that is relevant to the demands of 21st-century education.</p> </td> </tr> </tbody> </table> Indriyani Ma’rifah Ahmad Asroni Copyright (c) 2025 Jurnal Ilmu Pendidikan dan Sains Islam Interdisipliner 2026-05-17 2026-05-17 80 92 10.59944/jipsi.v4i4.725 The Implementation of the POE2WE Learning Model Assisted by PhET Simulation to Improve Conceptual Understanding of Grade XI Students at SMAN 1 Bukit Batu https://journal.amorfati.id/index.php/JIPSI/article/view/651 <table> <tbody> <tr> <td> <p>This study aims to examine the effectiveness of the POE2WE (Predict, Observe, Explain, Elaborate, Write, Evaluate) learning model assisted by PhET simulations in improving students’ conceptual understanding of Newton’s laws. The research employed a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental design, specifically a posttest-only nonequivalent control group design. The population consisted of 68 eleventh-grade students at SMAN 1 Bukit Batu, Indonesia, in the 2025/2026 academic year. The sample was divided into two groups: the experimental class, which received instruction using the POE2WE learning model assisted by PhET simulations, and the control class, which was taught using conventional methods. Data were collected through a posttest consisting of multiple-choice questions designed to measure seven indicators of conceptual understanding: interpreting, exemplifying, classifying, generalizing, inferring, comparing, and explaining. Data analysis was conducted using both descriptive and inferential statistics. The results of the descriptive analysis showed that the experimental class achieved a higher average score (70.32) categorized as good, compared to the control class (53.94) categorized as fair. Inferential analysis using the Mann–Whitney U test revealed a significance value of p = 0.000 (p &lt; 0.05), indicating a significant difference between the two groups. These findings suggest that the implementation of the POE2WE learning model assisted by PhET simulations is effective in enhancing students’ conceptual understanding of Newton’s laws. Therefore, this study contributes to the development of interactive and technology-based physics learning strategies.</p> </td> </tr> </tbody> </table> Dzaidatul Masyhurah Azhar M. The central question — whether a guardian (wali) may perform substitute prayers on behalf of the deceased by analogy with authenticated fasting-substitute hadiths — has generated sustained scholarly disagreement across the four Sunni schools. Drawing on primary classical sources and recent scholarship in Islamic law, including Scopus-indexed journals and nationally accredited Indonesian journals , this article demonstrates that: (1) no explicit (sharih) sahih hadith authorizes qadha prayers by a guardian; (2) the juristic disagreement turns precisely on competing definitions of the legal cause ('illah) in the qiyas argument, not on the hadith texts themselves; and (3) the Hanbali dissenting position, though methodologically coherent, is based on an 'illah — "unpaid debt to God" (dayn Allah) — that the majority correctly identifies as too broad to sustain a valid analogy with prayers. The study contributes a technically precise ushul fiqh analysis of the qiyas structure, filling a gap in comparative Islamic law literature.</em></p> </td> </tr> </tbody> </table> Ali Yusuf Muzaki Ahmad Mukhlish Sirojuddin Hafidhul Mubarok Ridwan Muthohharun Afif Copyright (c) 2026 Jurnal Ilmu Pendidikan dan Sains Islam Interdisipliner 2026-05-19 2026-05-19 108 117 10.59944/jipsi.v5i2.730 The Essence of Barokah-Oriented Islamic Education in the Perspective of Ta'limul Muta'allim by Syekh Az-Zarnuji https://journal.amorfati.id/index.php/JIPSI/article/view/811 <p><em>Contemporary Islamic education faces the challenges of pragmatism, moral crisis, and information disruption that threaten the essence of the barokah (blessedness) of knowledge. This study aims to analyze the nature of barokah-oriented Islamic education according to Syekh Burhanuddin Az-Zarnuji in the book Ta'limul Muta'allim Thariq at-Ta'allum, to identify the pedagogical principles that constitute the barokah of knowledge, and to examine their relevance to Islamic education in Indonesia. The method employed is qualitative content analysis with a hermeneutical approach to classical Islamic texts. The primary source is the Ta'limul Muta'allim in its original Arabic manuscript and authoritative translations, supplemented by secondary sources including classical and contemporary Islamic educational literature. The results show that Az-Zarnuji constructs a barokah-based educational framework through four main pillars: (1) sincerity of intention (lillahi ta'ala) as an ontological foundation; (2) ta'zhim al-ustadz as an epistemological condition; (3) adab toward knowledge as an axiological dimension; and (4) the holistic ta'allum method as pedagogical operationalization. These four pillars form an educational system that transcends cognitive transmission toward character and spiritual transformation. Its relevance in the modern Indonesian context lies in the capacity of this concept to serve as an antithesis to educational pragmatism and to offer a holistic educational model that integrates cognitive, affective, spiritual, and social dimensions.</em></p> Maysaroh Ahmad Muzakki Mohammad Solihin Copyright (c) 2026 Jurnal Ilmu Pendidikan dan Sains Islam Interdisipliner 2026-05-29 2026-05-29 118 126 10.59944/jipsi.v5i2.811 Pola Komunikasi Organisasi dalam Lembaga Pendidikan Nonformal Berbasis Islam: Studi Kasus Taman Pendidikan Al-Qur'an An-Nisa Sleman https://journal.amorfati.id/index.php/JIPSI/article/view/853 <table> <tbody> <tr> <td> <p>Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis karakteristik, hambatan, dan strategi komunikasi efektif dalam tim pengajar Taman Pendidikan Al-Qur'an (TPA) An-Nisa di Kapanewon Turi, Kabupaten Sleman, Yogyakarta. The Amtsilati method is a fast and practical approach to understanding basic Arabic grammatical rules (nahwu and sharaf), enabling students to read classical Islamic texts without vowel marks. Developed by Taufiqul Hakim from Pondok Pesantren Darul Falah, this method emphasizes systematic and gradual mastery of Arabic linguistic principles. This study aims to examine the implementation of the Amtsilati method in learning to read Safinatun Najah at MTs Hidayatus Syubban, describe the learning process, and identify supporting and inhibiting factors, including its impact on students’ motivation in learning Arabic. The research uses a qualitative field approach with data collection techniques such as observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis is conducted through data condensation, data display, and conclusion drawing, while validity is ensured through triangulation of sources and methods. The findings show that learning planning includes formulating objectives, selecting materials, and determining teaching methods. The program is intended for non-boarding students using materials from Amtsilati volumes I–V, Tatimmah, Qaidah Amtsilati, and Nadzom Amtsilati, delivered through a classical classroom model. Learning activities include opening (prayer and nadzom recitation), core activities (material explanation and reading practice), and closing (evaluation and prayer). The results indicate that the method is implemented systematically and effectively, improving students’ ability to read Safinatun Najah and increasing their motivation in learning Arabic. This is reflected in students’ confidence, active participation, and willingness to advance. However, obstacles include limited teacher creativity, differences in student abilities, and discipline issues. These are addressed through training, adjusted memorization schedules, and educational sanctions.</em></p> Inas Umniyyah Aliwan Abdul Hakim Copyright (c) 2026 Jurnal Ilmu Pendidikan dan Sains Islam Interdisipliner 2026-06-08 2026-06-08 147 156 10.59944/jipsi.v5i2.817 The Effect of the Continuity of the ISMUBA In Action Program on the Religious Literacy Ability of Students at MA Muhammadiyah 1 Weleri https://journal.amorfati.id/index.php/JIPSI/article/view/792 <p>This study aims to analyze how much the continuity of the ISMUBA in action program affects the religious literacy skills of students at MA Muhammadiyah 1 Weleri. Yet their works and interpretive approaches played a crucial role in transmitting Islamic scholarship and shaping indigenous intellectual traditions. This study aims to identify prominent early Indonesian mufassirs, examine their exegetical writings, and analyze their methodologies as well as the socio historical contexts that informed their interpretations. Employing a qualitative design with a historical-philological approach, the research is based on library study of early printed tafsirs, manuscript sources, and relevant secondary literature. Data were analyzed through thematic content analysis and comparative methodological examination. The findings indicate that early Indonesian exegetes were strongly influenced by Middle Eastern scholarly networks, while simultaneously articulating local elements through the use of Malay language, engagement with communal religious practices, and responses to colonial conditions and social change. The study concludes that early Nusantara tafsir represents a synthesis of global Islamic traditions and local realities, providing a foundational framework for the later development of Qur’anic studies in Indonesia.</p> </td> </tr> </tbody> </table> Muhith Muhith Copyright (c) 2026 Jurnal Ilmu Pendidikan dan Sains Islam Interdisipliner 2026-05-26 2026-05-26 168 179 10.59944/jipsi.v5i2.925
