Optimalisasi Sistem Digital dalam Manajemen Ekosistem Zakat di Provinsi Jambi

This study aims to analyze how digital systems operate in zakat ecosystem management in Jambi Province. Zakat ecosystem management encompasses planning, collection, allocation, and distribution of zakat funds, or logistics. Zakat is also used for consumption (consumptive) and utilization (productive). This research uses a qualitative, empirical law-based method (field research) using a questionnaire administered in Jambi City, Sarolangun Regency, and Tebo Regency. The sample size for this study was 100 people, including representatives from the National Zakat Agency (BAZNAS) and the local community. This study yielded three pieces of information: (1) The digital system at the National Zakat Collection Agency (BAZNAS) is already in place, but its utilization is not yet optimal because this zakat system is dominated by Muslim Civil Servants (ASN), who have regulations governing income deductions allocated for Zakat, Infaq, and Shadaqah (ZIS) using the payroll method from each Muslim Civil Servant's bank account. (2) The digital system at the National Zakat Agency (BAZNAS) is very helpful in saving energy, time, thought, and costs. (3) The digital system at the National Zakat Agency (BAZNAS) also plays a role in empowering or fulfilling the social and economic needs of the community. This can be seen in MSMEs, livestock centers, food barns, and so on. The research concludes that BAZNAS continues to maximize the potential of the digital system to increase zakat fund collection. Furthermore, religious and digital literacy among the community are also being improved to raise awareness of zakat payers and implement community empowerment and regional development in stages.
